“Keep on, Keeping on”

New Hope Family, Sunday’s message entitled “Keep on, Keeping on” came from Hebrews 13:7-14. Pastor Jody spoke on how we are to reflect on our leaders, their outcome, and way of life.  If not already, one day all leaders on this earth will pass away.  Jesus, the one who should ultimately lead us, lives forever. What great news! I believe imitating the faith of our leaders goes beyond who we consider as leaders of today.  We can look at the leaders in the Word of God and imitate their faith, … [Read more...]

The Superior Life of Faith, Especially in Adversity

Greetings New Hope Family, Sunday’s text was out of Hebrews 12:4-13 concerning the superior life of faith, especially in adversity.  We all go through hard times, but it is what we do during those times that matter.  It is easy to give up or give in, but those who learn from the situation and overcome the adversity become stronger and move forward in maturity. A portion of scripture (Verse 7) poses the question, “For what son is not disciplined by his father?” and the answer to follow … [Read more...]

“The Superior Life of Faith” cont’d- Pastor Jody Robertson

Greetings New Hope Family, This last Sunday Pastor Jody continued his series on “The Superior Life of Faith”, specifically regarding Hebrews 11:8-12.  In this passage of scripture Abraham traveled to a place where God had called him to go.  As Abraham set out on his journey, he did not know the final destination yet he obeyed the call without any questions. During a span of over 100 years his life was lived in tents without having any foundational home.  Abraham set his eyes on heaven, and … [Read more...]

Pastor Jody shares from Hebrews 11 …..

Greetings New Hope Family, This last Sunday Pastor Jody spoke out of Hebrews 11:5-7, concerning a life of faith being superior to a life lived without faith.  In verses 5 and 6 we notice that God took Enoch from this life, and before he was taken God commended him.  Enoch was commended because he first believed in God and second, he knew that God rewards those who earnestly seek him.  In verse 7 Noah built an ark to save his family and this ark was built in faith by the things not yet seen.  … [Read more...]

Thank you Teen Challenge!

Greetings New Hope Family,   This last Sunday Teen Challenge blessed us with worship, testimonies, and a message.  Dennis Whitman, the pastor and leader of our sectional Teen Challenge, gave a message with the title,  “Let His Spirit LIFT You” (Ephesians 3:14-21).  The word LIFT was used as an acronym, and the “L” stood for Learn.  We must Learn from God, others, and ourselves (Proverbs 10:17).  “I” stands for Invest.  Investing our time in scripture and prayer helps us to know who … [Read more...]

“The Superior Life of Faith”

Greetings New Hope Family Church, This last Sunday Pastor Jody spoke on Hebrews 11:1-4 concerning “The Superior Life of Faith.”  A life of faith is greater than a life without faith.  People who surround us that live this life of faith spur us to live that same life.  It is the eyesight for the believer.  Faith is what takes the scriptures from the bible, puts them in our hearts, calls us to action, and we then see it lived out.  Faith is a feel it, believe it, do it process.    The ancients … [Read more...]

A Message from Mat Cotton

Greeting New Hope Family, We asked ourselves the question “Are we done yet?” and the answer is NO.  God is not done with us.  The cross does a good job of answering the question “What if I die today?” but doesn’t necessarily answer the question, “What if I live tomorrow”? Everyday we can glorify God.  We glorify God by doing our assignment.  Our assignment is not confined to a career choice, but it is given to us everyday.  Whether we share Jesus in the Costco line or call a family member … [Read more...]
